Animal and Telemetry Core

The Animal and Telemetry Core provides necessary animal husbandry and model maintenance and development, surgical procedures, including implantation of radiotelemetry transmitters, catheters, osmotic minipumps. In addition, the Core provides state-of-the-art telemetry receivers and equipment (Ponemah Telemetry System, Data Sciences Intl, Minneapolis) to measure blood pressure, heart rate, and activity in conscious freely moving rodents. The Core also provides body composition measurements (Echo-MRI), and an animal hypoxia chamber (Scintica VelO2x 66L).
